Privacy Policy — Warsaw Speed Friending

This privacy policy explains what personal data we collect when you sign up for the Warsaw Speed Friending waitlist, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, also known as GDPR / RODO.

We keep this short and plain. If anything is unclear, email us.

Simple version: we collect only the information needed to contact you about Warsaw Speed Friending events and, only if you separately agree, future community updates or partner offers. We do not sell your data.

1. Who we are

Warsaw Speed Friending is run by Andrea Serri, an individual based in Warsaw, Poland. We organize in-person social events for people who want to make new friends.

2. What data we collect

When you sign up to our waitlist, we collect:

We do not collect your last name, address, phone number, payment information, or any sensitive data through the website.

3. Why we collect it and legal basis

We process your data mainly based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You actively tick a box on the signup form. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

We use your data only for:

For keeping minimal consent and unsubscribe records, we rely on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in demonstrating compliance and making sure we do not contact people who have unsubscribed.

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers. We never use it to profile you or train AI.

4. Who processes your data

We use third-party service providers to host the website, manage email signups, send emails, and understand anonymous traffic. Where required, these providers act as processors under their applicable terms, data processing agreements, or contractual privacy commitments.

We use Brevo, operated by Sendinblue SAS in France, as our email service provider. Brevo stores email contacts and sends our emails.

We use Plausible Analytics for anonymous website traffic statistics. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not collect personal data about website visitors.

We host our website on Netlify. Netlify processes minimal technical data, such as IP address, browser type, and server logs, to serve the website and protect its infrastructure.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards made available by those providers, such as contractual commitments or Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep your email and consent records as long as you remain subscribed to our list, plus up to 12 months for legal record-keeping, including proof of consent.

If you unsubscribe, we delete your contact data within 30 days, except for the minimum log needed to honor your unsubscribe request.

You can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing warsawspeedfriending@gmail.com.

7. Security

Your data is stored in the tools listed above and protected using standard security measures such as HTTPS encryption in transit. Access is limited to the organizer, Andrea Serri.

We will never ask you for your password, payment details, or sensitive personal information by email.

This website does not use cookies for advertising, behavioural tracking, or profiling.

We use Plausible Analytics for anonymous website statistics. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data about website visitors.

The Brevo signup form may set temporary technical cookies or similar technologies strictly necessary to submit the form, prevent duplicate submissions, or maintain security.

If we later add advertising pixels, behavioural analytics, or non-essential cookies, we will update this policy and add a consent banner where required.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we update the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are significant, we may notify subscribers by email.
